The Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science, Elebele was established in 2012 by the Bayelsa State Government through the Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science (Re-Establishment) law 2012. The law was signed into effect by the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency (Hon) Henry Seriake Dickson on the 13th day of June, 2012. He also appointed the pioneer Rector of the College, Dr. Jeremiah A. Yabefa on the 3 day of August, 2012.
