The College was founded in November 1986. It took off from the old Domestic Science Center at Sabo and was later moved to School Management Committee Compound, Mushin.

In 1989, it was moved to Campus Square, Ajele on Lagos Island where it shared the building with the Ministry of Education (Inspectorate Division) and finally to its present site in May 1991, the former School of Basic Studies at Agidingbi, Ikeja (opposite Cadbury Plc)
