Jason Chukwuma Njoku was born on December 11th, 1980 in Deptford, South-East London to parents from Mbaise in Imo state, Nigeria . He is a business mogul and the founder of Iroko Tv.
Jason Njoku is 43 years old.
Jason was raised by his single mother in the UK. He started his education there in the UK but relocated to Nigeria when he was 12. At 15 he moved back to the UK to attend college. He studied Chemistry at the University of Manchester and he graduated with a second class upper division in 2005.
Jason worked in the UK in several firms before returning to Nigeria to start up a business of his own. Many of his attempts to start up something failed. He started a blog, then a T-shirt business, then a web-design company. When all his efforts proved abortive, he returned to the Uk to live with his mum. Then the idea came to him to reproduce a Hulu or Netflix for Africa, and Iroko Tv was birthed.
He struck a deal with YouTube Germany to be his official Channel partner and in 2010, himself and Gotter launched NollywoodLove, a YouTube channel, which was profitable within two months of launch. He also got funding from Tiger Global, a US-based Venture Capital.
In August 2013, he invested in a Lagos based internet start-up called Spark and some other 11 companies which include drinks.ng, hotels.ng, and ToLet.com.ng. In 2015, he decided to pay more attention to making his TV series run on an Android mobile app rather than other streaming means, and his decision has proven most effective.
Jason is married to his beautiful wife, Remmy Njoku. She is a Nigerian actress and movie producer. She is also the CEO of Rok Studios. The union is blessed with 2 lovely children, Jason and Nwakaego.
His net worth is not available.
