Andre Blaze Henshaw was born in Calabar, Cross River state, Nigeria on August 14th, 1983. He is a radio personality, rapper, television host and executive producer.

Blaze was born to a mother from Anambra State and a father from Cross River State. He grew up in both Port Harcourt and Calabar. He had his scondary education at Bishop Crowther Memorial Secondary School, Port Harcourt. He had his undergraduate studies in Linguistics and Communication at the University of Port Harcourt, and graduated with a B.Sc. degree in 2006.
Blaze worked for a year (2001-2002) with Epoch Magazine. He began his broadcasting career working for Rhythm 93.7 FM Port Harcourt in 2002. While there he held various positions such as Head of the Presentation Department, continuity announcer, radio DJ and show host.
He is also a rapper and was a member of hip-hop group, Tuck Tyght, in Port Harcourt. He left Rhythm FM in 2008, switching over to Visual Media Networks, Nigezie. Between 2008 and 2012, he directed lots of TV programs in the country, including shows like True Search, Battle of the Year and Peak Talent Show. In May 2012, he quit his job at the cable TV channel and accepted an offer to host Nigeria’s Got Talent, a reality television show based on the Got Talent series format.
In May 2018, a Nigerian lady with the name Olutimehin Adegbeye outed the On air personality, Andre Blaze, for allegedly sexually assaulting her. Olutimehin who took to Twitter to share her story stated that Blaze assaulted her sexually about two years ago.
Blaze is the cousin of Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw. He has two children with his long-time girlfriend.
