Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin

Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin was born on February 15th, 1972 in Burutu, Delta state, Nigeria to Livingson Stevenson Toboukeyei Fufeyin and Asetu Fufeyin. He is a televangelist, prophet and founder of the Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM) in Warri, Delta state.

Fufeyin was born into a polygamous home, being the 22 child out of his father's 36 children. He had his primary school education at Zuokunor Primary School in Burutu between 1981 and 1986 and his secondary education at Gbesa Grammar School Ojobo, between 1986–1992.

Fufeyin initially started his career by actively involving himself in the film exhibition business. He toured both Delta and Bayelsa States respectively, using projectors to show films as a means of entertainment in various communities. Aside that, he also engaged himself in other things like wrestling in his community and the neighbouring towns and won several local contests thinking that was his true path in life but never knew God had a different plan for his life.

To take care of daily expenses and live a normal and comfortable life just like everybody would love to, he opened a mini super market and patent medicine store with the money he was able to save from his hustling. According to his profile, he was also instrumental to the coming of GSM to his riverine community, when it was first launched in Nigeria. He equally pioneered the use of motorcycles as a means of transportation in his local government area.

The prophet had a very decent life before deciding to become a pastor, before he founded his church — he was a bonafide and active member with Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. He gradually started his church Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry by holding morning devotional worship on April 3rd, 2010 and within the shortest possible time he was able to nurture and develop his church into something we never expected. 

Today his church boost to have over fifteen thousand members and is still growing. There is every reason to believe that his church may become one of the biggest in Nigeria if not even the biggest. The servant of God is widely known to engage himself in some philanthropist work through his church. He regularly donates money and food items to orphans, widows and the less fortunate people in his church and neighbouring communities and that is what a true man of God should always do.

Fufeyin has been criticised for his loud acts of charity, very public and showy focus on demons and deliverance. On April 1st, 2017, he shared his own thought on the scandal issue going on between Apostle Suleman Johnson and a lady. The man of God defended Apostle Suleman against his sex scandal, describing him as “innocent” and knows nothing about what he is being accused.
