Pastor (Dr.) Elijah Oludele Abina was born on June 16th, 1935 in Aradagun, Badagry Lagos state, Nigeria, to Pa Abraham Akowanu Abina and Madam Omoloto Abina. He is a pastor and the General Overseer of Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT). A humble Minister of God with over 50 years ministry experience, he is also a prolific writer authoring many great books.

Pastor Abina was named Ogundele by his parents which he changed to Oludele to renounce any links with idol worship. The clergy spent with early life in Lagos where he had his primary, secondary and tertiary education.
Known as Daddy GO, he worked with Arbico Limited in Apapa Lagos before venturing into full-tim ministry in the eary 1960s. Alongside late Sister Dupe George, Brothers David Akinremi, Meshack Akinola, Iwaku J. Bagere, Daniel Aluko, Olusegun George, and Elkanah Obidey, he was pivotal to the formation of GOFAMINT. It all began with Brother Reuben Akinwalere George (later Pastor (Dr) R. A. George), a member of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) and a dynamic leader of the Christ Army Band of the CAC then at 83, Lagos Street, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, who had always felt a deep conviction of the call of God on his life. Other members of the group include; Brothers Solomon Kudoro, Richard Godonu Akapo, one Mrs. Dorcas Adeyemi, Sisters Mary Kudoro, Felicia Akinremi (later Matron Felicia Abina), Janet Oke, Dupe Oju (later Dupe Akapo), among others.
The Church began to grow, and later moved to her first building at 22, Balogun Street also in Iwaya and from there, gradually spread to Bariga, Ibadan, Mushin and the rest of the world. Pastor George was ordained as Pastor in 1959 and he transited into glory in 1987 after which his deputy all along at the time, Pastor (Dr) E.O. Abina took over the mantle of leadership in the same 1987. At this time, Pastor Abina who was the Deputy General Overseer was unanimously elected the General Overseer of the body, a position which he has faithfully held till date. Pastor Abina was also one of the founding fathers of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
The cleric got married to his wife, Felicia Abina (nee Akinremi), on March 30th, 1961. Together, they have six children and many grandchildren. Matron Felicia Abina passed on in June 2014 in the United States.
