Omotayo Alasoadura Donald is a Nigerian politician and senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District. He was born in 1949 in Iju, Akure North of Ondo State.

Young Omotayo began his elementary education at St Stephens Primary School, Iju and got his First School Leaving Certificate in 1961. He attended Ajuwa Grammar School, Akoko where he obtained his West Africa School Certificate in 1967. In 1974, Omotayo qualified and obtained the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) of England Certificate as well as that of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN) the same year.
Omotayo Donald worked as a chartered accountant with a number of firms before his emergence in politics.
He was an Articled Clerk at Balogon Badejo and co. an Audit Firm, from where he rose to become a Managing Partner in 2002.
He was appointed the Commissioner for Finance and Planning Ondo State from 2003 to 2009.
In the 2015 elections, Omotayo contested for the seat of the Ondo Central Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressive Congress(APC) and emerged winner.
He has as his Legislative Interests: Oil and Gas as well as Finance
He is the Cairman Senate Committee on Upstream Petroleum.
Senator Omotayo Alasoadura Donald was married to late Mrs Adetayo Alasoadura in 2016. The marriage is blessed with children and many grand children.
