Yele Omogunwa is a Nigerian politician and the senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District. He was born on May 22, 1950 at Gbeleju-Loda,Ode-Irele in Ondo State.

Omogunwa began his elementary education at Methodist Primary School,Gbeleju-Loda, Irele in 1956 after which he attended Methodist Secondary Modern School briefly befor completing his secondary education at Ondo Boys High School, Ondo.
After obtaining his Higher School Certificate(HSC) at Molusi College, Ijebu-Igbo in 1974, he got admission into the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife in 1978 and bagged a Bachelors degree in History/Education in 1982.
Omogunwa took up teaching as a career after his graduation and taught for 13 years before switching interest to politics.
He was appointed Comissioner for Information in the Ministry of Information Ondo is 1999 and served in this capacity for one year.
He was elected into the House of representatives in 2003.
In the 2015 elections, Omogunwa contested for the seat of the Ondo South Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and emerged winner.
