Francis Wale Oke was born in Kasumu, Egbeda local government area of Oyo State, Nigeria, on September 8th, 1956. He is the President, Sword of the Spirit Ministry, Ibadan and the presiding Bishop of Christ Life Church, worldwide.

Born in Kasumu village, Francis spent the first 11 years there, before moving to Ibadan where he went to Wesley Teachers’ College, then later the polytechnic and thereafter, gained admission to the University of Lagos. He studied Land and Engineering Survey, and while in the university heard the call of God and got connected to Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Pastor Kumuyi, Bishop Benson Idahosa and Bishop David Oyedepo. Pastor Adeboye, lectured Bishop Wale Oke in Mathematics in the year 1977.
In 1989 after ten years of itinerary work all over Nigeria and various parts of the world, Bishop Oke founded the Christ Life Church which has grown exponentially having over two hundred branches located all over Nigeria. The Ministry of Bishop Oke is known around the world with a testimony of over 33 years of great impact. His ministry has taken him around the globe preaching and teaching the word of God with miracles, signs, and wonders following in the power of the Holy Spirit. He is said to have anointed Former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the next civilian president of Nigeria in 1999.
Bishop Francis is the convener of the annual Holy Ghost Convention in Ibadan since 1983 and The Nigeria Turning Point Prayer Movement in Abuja since 2003. He is the host of “The Voice of the Lord” broadcast on radio and TV and author of many bestsellers including Alone with God, The Precious Blood of Jesus and Go Forward. He says he has a divine mandate to bring 100 million souls to heaven.
He hosts a daily broadcast on Nigeria national radio and television stations FRCN and NTA, Ibadan. He is the founder of the International Bible College of Ministries and Seminary (IBCOMS) and the Precious Cornerstone University. He has also served as the national Vice-President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in the South West.
Bishop Oke is married to Victoria Tokunbo Oke. His only daughter, Dorcas Oke passed on in 2001 after taking adultrated drug. He founded the Dorcas Oke Hope Alive Initiative in memory of his late daughter. He has a son, Isaac Oke.
