He came into Nigeria's music consciousness when he took part in the Abuja audition of the 2013 Glo X-factor competition as the DNA twins, the other twin being his real twin, Clinton Roberts. Although they didn’t win the competition, being the second group to be evicted after "Smooth boys", they took the advice given to them by established acts at the after party “To not give up on their dreams"
Soon after X-factor, they released their first single, titled ‘Mash Up Freestyle’, a combination of some top Nigerian songs, including ‘Soundtrack’ by May-D, and ‘Your Waist’ by Iyanya and on 28 February 2017, they got signed to Don Jazzy's Mavin Records releasing the single 'How Can' under the imprint
In April 2016, Blair got abducted alongside his twin brother on their way to Lagos from Abuja where they went to visit their mother by Gunmen who demanded a ransom of 10 million naira with threats to kill them. They were released after a ransom was paid.
His role models in the music industry are Michael Jackson and Usher, Wizkid, PSquare, Banky W, Tiwa Savage, and Dare Art Alade.
Blair and his twin revealed in an interview that the name of their band 'DNA boys' stands for the fact that they are not just connected biologically but also musically
