Hon. Awulu Ezekiel Adaji was born on June 1st, 1963. He hails from Awulema in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria. Hon. Awuli is a civil servant, businessman and politician currently representing Ohimini Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja.

Hon. Awulu attended St. Paul Secondary School in Otukpo, Benue State and graduated with a Senior School Certificate. He obtained a diploma from the Benue State Polytechnic in 1985. Thereafter he earned a degree in 2003 from the University of Agriculture, Makurdi and another from the Benue State University in 2005.

Hon. Awulu served as a Councilor in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State. Threafter, he served as the Chairman of Ohimini Local Government Area from 1992 to 2002 and 2004 to 2006. In 2011, he was elected under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to represent Ohimini Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. He was re-elected for a second term in 2015.

Hon. Awulu was among the lawmakers who stood gallantly for the passing of the Peace Corps of Nigeria’s (PCN) bill into law, which was founded by his kinsman, Amb Dickson Akor. He is currently a member, House Committee on internally displaced persons (IDPs) and Refugees & Initiatives on North East.

On October 7th, 2018 Hon. Awulu lost a bid to seek a third term at the Federal House of Represemtatives. He lost at the primary level of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He polled 77 votes while his opponent, Egli Johnson Ahubi, had 133 votes.
