Hon. Chime Agu Oji was born in 1977. He is an indigene of Enugu Ngwo in Enugu North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. Hon Oji is a philanthropist, educationist, businessman and politician. He represents Enugu North and South Constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja.

Hon. Oji was a student of Technical School Amofia in Affa Enugu where he sat for and passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 1994. He thereafter proceeded to the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree. He also obtained a Master's degree in 2013 from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
Hon. Oji represents Enugu North and South Constituency at the House of Representatives, National Assembly. Before joining the Assembly, he had served as the Deputy Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly. He belongs to the People’s Democratic Party. He was elected to the Federal House in 2015.
He seeks to relentlessly pursue interventions that would promote Nigeria’s competitiveness, create jobs and diversify the economy. His interests include introducing quality bills and motions and youth empowerment.
Hon. Oji currently serves in the following House committees: Petroleum Resources (Downstream); Aviation; Pension; Privatisation and Commercialization; Legislative Budgets and Research; Constituency Outreach; Treaties, Protocols and Agreements. He sponsored the famous Potassium Bromate Bill.
Honourable Chime Oji is married with children. He is a Christian.
After sponsoring a bill that led to the ban on Potassium Bromate, Hon Chime was awarded the AFCRC International Golden Award.
