Christantus Ejike Uzoenyi was born on March 23rd, 1988 in Aba, Abia State. He is a professional footballer who rcently played as a winger for Ajax Cape Town of South Africa and the Nigerian national team.

On February 20, 2014, Uzoenyi signed for South African club Mamelodi Sundowns but remained with Enugu Rangers on loan before moving to South Africa in June 2014. On 15 February 2017, he signed with South African club Bidvest Wits. In August 2017, he joined another South African club, Ajax Cape Town, but parted ways with the club four months later.
He made his international debut for Nigeria in 2012 and has appeared in FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. He was called up to Nigeria’s 23-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. He was named to Nigeria’s squad for the 2014 African Nations Championship and was selected the most valuable player of the tournament. He was also named in the provisional squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, making the final squad after Uwa Echiejile was excluded by injury.
In December 2014, Ejike got married to his girlfriend of five years, Chioma Loveth Abum, in Enugu. The wedding was held at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Asata Enugu, and the reception held at the high profile Blue Island Hotel & Suites in Independence Layout, Enugu.
After winning the African Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles in 2013, he was awarded the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) by former president Goodluck Jonathan.
