Bimbo is the first child of a family of five based in Lagos. She has four siblings; two brothers and two sisters. She holds a diploma in Industrial Relations and Trade Unionism from the University of Ibadan, Oyo state.
Bimbo wanted to join a movie theatre group but veteran actor, Femi Branch advised her to produce a movie which she did in 2009. This was pivotal to her success in the industry. The movie is titled Ifejafunmi. Since then, she has featured in, directed and produced various Nollywood movies such as; Okun Omo Iya, Eldorado, Jabira and Ibaje Ojokan. She took a three year maternity break from 2013 to 2016.
Apart from being an actress, Bimbo is also into skin care. She is the CEO of Xtreme Beauty Palace. The organization based in Lagos specializes in the production of body and hair creams.
On July 15th, 2013, Bimbo gave birth to a daughter named Aliyah. According to her, she has since been challenged by the trials and travails of motherhood. In her words, "Motherhood has really changed my life because it comes with a lot of responsibilities. As a mother, your life suddenly changes and you have to do all you can to fit into your new role. It has affected my life positively because it’s like another phase of life for me."
