A native of Kogi state, Gbenro was born in Maidugiri, but grew up in Benue state. He is the fourth child born into a family six children including Jude Ige Ajibade. He attended Makurdi International School and later Mount Saint Gabriels Secondary School. He got a degree in Biology Education from Benue State University.
Gbenro started his acting career as Soji in "Tinsel" in the year 2007. His other movies include "Shattered Romance," "Gbomo Gbomo Express" among others. Before he he became the actor you love to watch on screen, he was a model. He kicked off his career as a model in 2005 shortly after graduating from the University.
In August 2014, the actor got engaged to Osas Ighodaro. The duo walked down the aisle on July 4th, 2015. Together, they have one daughter named, Azariah Tiwatope Osarugue Ajibade.
In an interview with Bella Naija, the actor described himself as an introvert, weird, a fun loving person who loves hanging out with friends, playing video games, watching cartoons and cooking.
Ajibade won Most Outstanding Actor/Model of the Year at the 2011 Nigerian Model Achievers Awards.
