He began his acting career at a very young age. He progressed to the being one of the most sought-after male actors in the Nigerian Movie industry. He was well-known for mostly starring in romance movies and for Nollywood lovers who have happened to watch some of his pieces know how effortlessly he delivered the lead roles given to him. Some of the top-notch movies where he starred are: Over The Limit, Marriage Slaves, Handsome Devil, My Friend My Pain, Snake Queen among others. It is said Muna was battling renal-related problems but had kept it a secret from the public and friends in the entertainment industry.

Before his demise, Muna was a very private person. He tired as much as possible to keep his private life away from the camera. Unknown to many, he was married to Gift Obiekwe and even had two children who were based abroad. Muna died of a kidney disease after he collapsed in his Festac residence in Lagos on Sunday, January 18th, 2015 at the age of 36. His death came as a shock because many of his colleagues were not aware of his predicament. He was known for his incessant smoking and drinking. 

Muna in his lifetime was not devoid of controversies.In 2011 it was reported by Nigeriafilms that that the actor fathered a child with Treasure Daniels(one of the shocking look alike twin of the Gholden Girlz fame) who recently meandered into music.”It seems however that the information was never confirmed and remained rumours till the date.

lso in 2014, The Enugu based Nollywood star was once involved in a serious controversy over a raunchy movie scene with a fellow colleague, Biola Ige.Muna was pictured grabbing Biola’s breast in the movie, Pregnant Hawker. However the actress later said that the widely circulating photo was fake and that there was no such scene in the movie.Muna also commented:“…I don’t remember the movie. I also don’t remember sucking Biola’s breasts. If the movie exists, that scene never took place.
