Ikechukwu Mitchel Ogbonna (popularly known as Ik Ogbonna) was born on January 11th, 1984 in Abia state, Nigeria. The tall and handsome Ik Ogbonna is a model, TV personality, director, and fast-rising Nigerian actor.

Ik Ogbonna was born into a family of six. He has two sisters and one brother. He attended primary and secondary school in Lagos state. While in secondary school, he won the Milo Awards for Fine Arts. He proceeded to the University of Jos, Plateau where he studied Sociology.
As a young boy while he was growing up, he was allowed to miggle with girls which led him fathering a child out of wedlock. He has a daughter out of wedlock during his adolescence days.
After completing his tertiary education, IK Ogbonna joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and started featuring in Nollywood movies. He is very handsome, creative, gifted, skillful and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. He knows how to interpret his roles very well and can fit in any character given to him by a movie director. However, he acts mostly on romantic movies. He is regarded as one of the most handsome Nollywood celebrities and a girls guy.
IK has featured in more than 100 Nollywood movies which include Playing Safe, Love Lorn, Beach 24, A Wish, Oyoma, The Devil Lives Here, 5 Wives, Disguise, Pebbles of Love, How Not to Fall in Love, 30 Days in Atlanta, etc. Due to his good looking and pleasant appearance, movie directors prefer to give him romantic roles in movies. He is also referred to as a fashion prince due to his unique appearance on red carpets. He is the brand ambassador of Dorco shaving sticks and CEO IK Ogbonna Production.
Ik Ogbonna is presently married to a Colombian model, Sonia Ogbonna after his failed relationship with Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim, and together they have a son called Ace. Ik Ogbonna has a unique fashion style and he is known for his tattoos and his earrings.
In March 2018, IK revealed how he was almost raped by a woman claiming to be a fan. The actor speaking to Sun said he wasn’t only almost raped by the said lady claiming to be a fan but also got blackmailed.
“A female fan almost raped me. It was crazy but the good thing for me is that I was at a friend’s place when she started making the moves, and I was recording everything she was doing.
“So, by the time she got to the point where she said she was going to shout and turn the tables around, I played back what she was doing and she had to slow down,” he revealed. According to him, he has stopped getting personal with female fans since the incident. “I think that was the craziest thing a female fan ever did to me. Since then, I stopped getting too personal with my fans. I won’t have them come visit me or see me at a friend’s place and all that kind of stuff. I created a barrier,” he added.
