Ngozi Ezeonu was born on May 23rd, 1965 in her hometown of Ogbunike in Oyi local government area of Anambra state, Nigeria. Her parents are D.O Ikpelue and Ezenwanyi Joy Nonyelum Ikpelue. Ezeonu is a veteran Nigerian actress and TV personality.

She grew up in Anambra State with her parents, Mr and Mrs D.O. Ikpelue. She is from a family of eight, and she is the only female child. She attended primary and secondary school in Anambra before obtaining a Diploma in Journalism.
Ezeonu began her career as a Journalist. Before becoming a journalist, she worked as a hairstylist. She ventured into the movie industry in 1993. That same year, she played a leading role in the movie Nneka the Pretty Serpent. Her performance was outstanding and the movie became a blockbuster. She started getting more acting offers. She starred in another movie titled Glamour Girls which also became a hit movie.
Ezeonu has featured in many blockbuster movies including; Dry My Tears, Women of Faith, Shattered Mirror, Jay Boy Obodo Oyibo’, ‘Suicide King’, Ego Mbute, In The Beginning, A Private Storm, About to Wed, Chimobi, Mother of Faith, Love of a Daughter, Child of Pain, and Royal Adventure. In 2012, she performed the leading role in Adesuwa, it was a decisive part that helped her to gain an award for the Best actress at the 8th ceremony of granting Films Academy Awards in Africa.
She featured in a supporting lead role in her first movie titled ‘Nneka, The Pretty Serpent’. And thereafter had her break through with the movie titled ‘Glamour Girls’. It is worthy to note that she is very choosy when it comes to scripts, because according to her, a lot of young ones look up to her and she wouldn’t want to do anything that will make them get disappointed in her.
Ngozi is married to Edwin Ezeonu and together, they have 4 children. Despite all the rumors of their break-up, they are still happy together. Her husband is lucky to have such bright wife and talented. She is a reserved person and she is usually careful about whatever script she is accepting.
In 2012-2013 Ngozi Ezeonu starts to lose weight tremendously, she was always known as plus-sized woman. It sets the tongues wagging. Therefore it is not a surprise, that her followers start to worry about her health and the press began to spread information that she was very sick. She lost almost fifty percent of her body.
