Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen was born on July 21st, 1971 in his hometown of Benin City in Oredo local government area of Edo state, Nigeria to Godwin Imasuen. He is a commendable movie producer, screenwriter, and director in the Nigerian Film Industry.

Lancelot Imasuen Early Life

Lancelot grew up in Benin, the old Bendel State. There he attended Eghosa Grammar school. At age 9 he was also prominent for his acting roles in the school. He was part of the Earth Pot Culture which was a theatre group in Benin. He joined this troupe when he was in form 2. In 1992, he left the troupe and traveled to Port Harcourt where he obtained a Professional Certificate in Theatre Arts.

Lancelot Imasuen Career

Lancelot began his career in the late 90’s. He began working with Nigerian Television Authorities (NTA) before he ventured into film production and directing. The first movie he directed was in 1995 and it’s titled Twisted Fate. He has produced over 150 movies which include the award-winning movies ABCs of Death 2 (2014), Home in Exile (2010) and Invasion 1897 (2014).

As a movie producer, Lanelot is known for shooting films that shed light on the various aspects of the African culture, and how the belief system has affected our lifestyle. He is a single location movie producer of the flick and has metamorphosed through the process of the production. His brand, Landconic brand, was launched on April 23rd, 2018.

Although he planned to get married at the age of 27, the actor got married at the age of 36 to his wife, Osas. The marriage which which happened in 2007 has produced three daughters.
