Lateef was born in Oshodi but grew up in Jakande estate in Isolo where he attended primary and secondary school. He studied Mass Communication in Olabisi Onabanjo University.

Lateef has been on the movie stage since age 15, but started acting professionally in 2007. He produced one movie, Oseregi in 2010. He also presents a talk show with orisun tv, Miliki express.
