Lara George was born into the family of Oluwole Bajomo in Lagos State. She is the fourth of five children.

Lara George went to Queens’ College Yaba, Lagos where she started developing love for singing before going on to study Architecture at the University of Lagos.
Lara George's musical career started in 2000 when she joined the fellowship music team on campus as this was where she met Ty bello, Emem Emma, and Dapo Torimiro and they formed the group KUSH which was the first Nigerian group with an international record deal, DKG Music USA and also the first group to feature on and top the Channel O charts. They toured worldwide at events such as The Experience, Lagos Nigeria, Festival of Life London UK, Believers’ Bible conference Lagos Nigeria, Greenbelt Festival Cheltenham UK, The Nigerian Reunion, New Jersey USA and many others, performing alongside international acts such as Femi Kuti, Joe, Guru and Marvin Winans to mention a few.
When the group split, she re-launched her music career with a solo debut album titled ‘Forever In My heart’ in 2008 with hit single 'Ijoba Orun’.
In 2009, she released another album with singles like 'Kolebaje’ and ‘Halleluyah’,The result of a production collaboration between Nigeria’s prolific Music Producers; Wole Oni, Wole Adesanya and America’s Jeff Taylor (who has worked with musical legends like Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and Boyz2Men)
In 2012, she released her third album titled ‘HIGHER-the Dansaki Album' while pregnant with her second child, the song went on to receive numerous awards and nominations.
n 2014, to commemorate her 10th year wedding anniversary, Lara George released a celebration of love album titled 'Love Nwantintin' going on to release her fourth album 'The Medley Album' and in 2017, she released 'A Slice of Heaven'. She is currently signed to SoForte Music label.
