Cynthia Ikponmwenosa Morgan known simply as Cynthia Morgan was born on September 23, 1991 in Benin City, Nigeria to Sherifat Morgan.

She was raised by a single mother who is now a top music gospel artist in Benin City, Nigeria. Growing up was rough for Cynthia as she was rejected by her father when her mother was 20 and pregnant for her.
Her passion and love for music started at the age of 3, growing up around musicians and back up singers from her mother’s musical band. She started out in the children’s choir at age 7 after which she moved to the youth choir and later to the Christian Union choir.
She went into music professionally at age 16, recording her debut single at 17, which got airplay and interviews for local press in her hometown Benin City. It featured General Pype and was titled “Dutty Stepping”.
Cynthia moved to Lagos, Nigeria in 2008 to pursue her career fully. She went on tour for the Tetmosol girl power in Lagos and Benin in thesame year. In 2009, she performed at The return of the rain maker tour featuring Majek Fasek. In 2010, she was featured on the Nigeria Entertainment Award winning track with Jhybo titled 'Ejo le Fe Ro Run their mouth'. The track gave her instant recognition and fame natiowide Nigeria.
On July 9th, 2012 she released her much anticipated singles titled "High High High" and "Ojoro".
On August 22, 2013, the 26-year-old singer signed a recording contract with Northside Entertainment Inc. owned by the elder brother of the disbanded P-Square, Jude Engees Okoye.Few months later, she released two chart-topping singles “Don’t Break My Heart” and “Lead Me On” which received massive airplays and positive reviews from critics.
In 2015 she released another single titled "German Juice" with which she gained more popularity and fans.
Cynthia Morgan has performed alongside Nigerian local acts such as Psquare, Wizkid, Dbanj and 2face.
She has been nominated for a lot of awards including-
Cynthia was absent from social media and the music scene for a while and her absence led many fans to conclude that she might be recuperating from sickness or probably pregnant and didn’t want anyone to know of it. However, a member of her team who spoke with NET revealed that her supposed hiatus from the music scene is as a result of managerial hiccups.
She calls herself 'Killa Marshal' who she says is her alter Ego, a much crazier, sassy and raw side of her.
She has a foundation called the Mama Cynthia Empowerment foundation that was established to give back to the needy.
Cynthia Morgan sites Bob Marley, Rihanna, Sean Paul, Foxy Brown, 50 cents, Rick Ross, and Sizzla Kalonji as her role models.
