Monica Ene Ogah popularly known as Monica Ogah was born on August 7, 1990 in Markurdi, Benue State. She is the youngest of six children.
Monica Ogah is 34 years old.
She had her primary education at Bammco Nursery and Primary School before going on to Methodist Girls’ High School in Otukpo, Benue State she then went on from there to Benue State University to study nursing but had to leave when she could no longer meet up with the academic demands.
When Monica decided to go into music, she did not get much support from her parents, especially her father who had wanted her to become a nurse.
Monica became famous after emerging the winner at the 2011 4th edition of Project Fame West Africa wining a record deal with Ultima Studios and making her the second female after Chidimma to win the competition.
In 2013, she released her debut album, 'Sometime in August' with songs like 'Body Hug' whoose video was directed by Clarence Peters under Ultima Studios featuring collaborations from Wizboy and Chidinma. In 2014, she released an Igbo language titled love song 'Obim bu nke gi' featuring Harrysongz.
She was nominated for Best Vocal Performance at the 2014 The Headies Awards
She is a seasoned Song writer and has written songs for a couple of A-list artistes.
Monica revealed on her Facebook account that her father had warned her off Igbo guys much to the chagrin of her followers.
