Born into a large family of eight from Ipokia local government of Ogun State, Juliana was brought up in the city of Lagos. She did try to go to university, but, as Juliana once said, “It didn’t work out”. She spent most her time getting various certifications that could help her in the future and improve her skills as an actress.

Prior to her popularity, Juliana had featured in about four movies including Where Does the Beauty Go? and Couple of Days where she featured as Judith. She is known for playing the role of Toyosi (Toyo Baby), Jenifa’s best friend in the series “Jenifa’s Diary”.

In Jenifa’s Diary, she worked with famous Nigerian actresses like Funke Akindele, Lolo, Lota Chukwu and Tina Mba. She was among the best act in the TV series and got the role when she went for an audition which she learned about the audition through a broadcast message online which she attended the audition. Besides acting, Juliana Olayode took part in some advertisement campaigns and also had a deal with VV Hair Nigeria.

In her 2017 book, Rebirth, Juliana gave a detailed narration of how she lost her virginity to her married music teacher at 17 and how he brainwashed her into believing he would marry her. Julie also revealed how she was born in a church, she revealed how her mother went into labour for 3 days, and was taken to the church for prayers and later birthed her. She belongs to a ministry called ‘Mine ministry’ people who belong to this group are proud advocate of sexual purity. She worships at The Ark, a church for young adults.
