Olatokunbo Susan Olasobunmi Abeke Olagundoye (popularly known as Toks Olagundoye) was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on September 16th, 1975 to a Norwegian mother and a Nigeria father. She is a Nigerian television and film actress, writer and producer.
Toks Olagundoye is 49 years old.
Toks had an adventurous childooh as she was educated in different countries including Nigeria, Switzerland and England for elementary, middle and high school. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre from Smith College. She was the most improved at Horseback Riding camp in West Virginia at the age of 12. Captivated by cinema from a very early age, Toks was always eager to move to the United States, the location of all of her favorite films (except the James Bond series, of course) and motherland to many of her favorite actors. She was beside herself with joy when she moved to Massachusetts for college. She now resides and works on the US.
After graduation Toks moved to New York where she interned at The Women's Project Theatre Company. She was "discovered" by casting agent Carol Nadell at a nail salon who invited her to an audition. She booked the role, which got her an agent and into SAG. She happily worked for the next year as a stand in and background performer. A year to the day (true story) that she joined SAG she joined Actor's Equity through a contract for her first role starring opposite Ruby Dee in the Off-Broadway show 'Saint Lucy's Eyes" by Bridgette Wimberley.
Toks spent the next several years taking whatever work she could get from guest star to costar to background to stand in to voiceover to staged readings to Off-Broadway to commercials to industrials to regional stage to student film to.., well, whatever would let her do what she loves to do. She has also guest starred on such shows as NCIS, Switched at Birth, The Gifted, and Law and Order.
In 2008 Toks formed Three Chicks Theatre Company with playwright Andrea Lepcio. In 2010, she moved to Los Angeles to further her TV and film career and in 2011 she booked a lead in the 'Untitled Dan Fogelman Pilot' AKA the most hilarious things she may have ever read. It is now known as 'The Neighbors' and, she is delighted to say that, playing Jackie Joyner-Kersee is her dream job. She is also the founder of Unlimited Ceiling, LLC and the writer/ creator of the web series, Alpha Series.
She has starred as a voice in video games such as Game of Thrones (2014) and Middle-earth: Shadow of War (2017). She currently hosts a podcast called "Tea For Two".
Toks met her husband, Sean Quinn, on Twitter. After several years of dating, they got married on May 16th, 2015. They live in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Her net worth is not available.
