Jephthah Bowoto, popularly known as Akpororo was born on October 3rd 1989 in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. He is a commedian, master of ceremony, music artist and actor.

Akpororo grew up in Warri where he had his primary and secondary education.
Akpororo began his career as a gospel musician. In 2008, he participated in the National Comedy Challenge and won the Calabar Zone of the contest. He took part in the final stage of the contest held in Lagos. He however, did not make it as the overall nationwide winner. In 2009, he was one of the contestants at the AY Open Mic Challenge where he finished second. He contested again and won the event.
His popularity grew when he starred at the Basketmouth's Laff and Jam Show. He also attended AY Live, an event which saw a lot of major industry staff in attendance. His show "Akpororo vs Akpororo" was launched on August 12th, 2014 at the Shell Hall of Muson Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos. He began featuring in movies in 2014 some of which are Headgone and The Antique. In 2015, he signed an agreement with Airtel, one of the giants of the telecommunication industry in Nigeria.
Akpororo got married to Josephine Ijeoma Onuabughuchi on November 14th, 2015, at Eagle's Club in Surulere, Lagos. In 2018, he revealed that he had known his wife since she was part of a dance group and shortly after they began to exchange pleasantries, they got married. They had their first child in 2016. Akpororo is a student of Lagos State University where he is studying Sociology.
