Hon Engr Magaji Da'u Aliyu was born on July 21st, 1963. He is an indigene of Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State, Nigeria. He is a politician and lawmaker representing Birnin-Kudu/Buji Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.

Hon Aliyu attended Bayero University Kano where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also obatined many professional certifications such as, PCDM MBA and others.

Hon Magaji was in 2015 elected into the National Assembly to represent Birnin-Kudu/Buji Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC). His legislative interest is in oil & gas. 

As a legislator and abled representative of the people of his constituency, Hon. Magaji set up a twelve-man education committee to give him a model of solving the ills in the sector.

Hon. Magaji has sponsored several motions at the Federal House of Assembly such as one to establish a college of education in his constituency and the other to construct a federal road that will link Birnin-Kudu/Buji Local Governments areas and end at Jama’are Local Government Area of Bauchi State. In 2017 he extended his hands of benevolence to the people of his constituency, as over 3,000 benefited from free consultation for patient suffering from eye problems.
