Olamide Johnson Oni was born in 1959. He is an indigene of Efon Alaaye in Ekiti State. He is a lawyer and politician currently representing Ijero/Ekiti West/Efon Constituency at the Federal; House of Representatives.

Hon. Oni had his primary education at St. Stephen's Primary School, graduating with a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) in 1971. He obtained a Senior School Certificate in 1978. Thereafter he attended Teacher's College in Efon Alaaye and Rivers State University of Science and Technology. He holds degrees in Law.
Hon. Oni was later elected into the Federal House of Representatives, where he represents the Ijero/Ekiti West/Efon Federal Constituency of Ekiti State, under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015. He targets to help achieve legislative temperament that will usher in good governance and provide adequate security for the entire Nigeria.
Hon. Oni is a Christian. After winning the 2015 elections, he held a thanksgiving service at his local Church in Efon.
