Hon. Garba Ibrahim Mohammed was born in 1959. He is an indigene of Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria. He is an engineer and politician representing Gwale Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.

Hon Garba attended Government Technical College in Wudil, Kano and bagged the West African Senior Certificate (WASC) in 1977. He proceeded to Lycee Technique Duhainuaut Valenciennes Franc where he studied automobile engineering and graduated in 1984.
Hon Garba worked as technical adviser, and network technical supervisor at Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Ltd, Kaduna from 1985 to 1990. From June 2012 to November 2014 he was the Commissioner of projects monitoring and evaluation in Kano State.
In 2015 he was elected to represent Gwale Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. He is a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). His legislative interest include; education, industries and job creation. He is a member of the Freedom of Information committee.
