Hon Bede Eke Uchenna was born in 1972 in his hometown of Nguru Umuaro in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. He is a politician and lawmaker serving as the member of the National Assembly representing Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency.

The young Bede Eke began his education at Umuaro Community Primary School and graduated with a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) in 1985. He thereafter proceeded to Nguru Umuaro Community College for his secondary education where he sat for and passed the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in 1991. He attended the Imo State University and obtained a Bachelor's degree.
Hon Eke is a youthful politician who has a way of easily getting on with people, including strangers because of his simplicity. He is a former member of Imo House of Assembly, representing Ngor Okpala State Constituency from 2003 to 2011.
In 2015 he was elected under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to represent Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. His legislative interest include education, oil & gas, appropriation, health, public accounts and poverty alleviation. He is a member of the Constituency Outreach Commitee.
Hon Eke is also a philantrophist.In 2009, no fewer than ten indigent undergraduates from Ngor-Okpala LGA Imo state began studying in various tertiary institutions in Nigeria courtesy of his scholarship programme.
