Hon. Danburam attended Barewa College in Zaria, Kaduna State and obtained the General Certificate of Education (GCE) in 1983. He enrolled at the University of Maiduguri, Borno State and earned a Bachelor's degree in education in 1990. In 1998 he obtained a Master's degree in Banking & Finance from the Bayero University Kano.

Hon. Danburam served as executive director of FinBank Plc. from 2007 to 2009. He also served as Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Tourism, in Kano State from 2011 to 2014. He also served as a member of the Interim Management Committee that managed the Nigeria Premier League for the 2012/2013 season. He is on the governing body of the Certified Institute of Nigerian Economists.

In 2015 he was elected into the House of Representatives to represent Kano Municipal Constituency. He is a member of the People’s Democratic Party. His legislative interests are in finance, commerce, agriculture and sports.
