Hon Aminu Mani Ashiru was born in 1972. He is an indigene of Mani Local Government Area of Katsina State, Nigeria. He is a politician and lawmaker representing Mani/Bindawa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

Hon Aminu attended Government College Katsina and passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 1990. He proceeded to Bayero Univeristy Kano. In 1997, he bagged a Bachelor's degree in Management. In 2001 he obtained an MBA in Finance at the Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
Hon Aminu worked as a computer analyst with Nsrmea in Kaduna. He went on to become the firm’s senior accountant and subsequently the principal consultant.
In 2011 he was elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent Mani/Bindawa Constituency. He was re-elected in 2015 under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC). He is a member of the House Committee on Commerce.
