Hon. Dr. Asadu Oziokoja Patrick was born on August 23rd, 1964. He hails from Ovoko in Igbo Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. He is a medical practioner and politician. He currently represents Nsukka/Igbo Eze South Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.

Hon. Asadu attended Boy's Secondary School, Woko. In 1982 he passed the West African Examination Council (WASC) with distinctions. He studied medicine and surgery at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and graduated with an MBBS in 1988. He also obtained a Master's of Public Health from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Prior to joining politics, Hon. Asadu worked as a medical practioner in the public and private sectors. Upon joining the People's Democratic Party (PDP) he was appointed an honorable commissioner in Enugu State. He also served as the transition chairman of Igbo Eze South Local Government Area.
In 2007 he was elected under the platform of the PDP to represent Nsukka/Igbo Eze South Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. He has since won re-election twice in 2011 and 2015. From 2011 to 2015, he served in the following House Committees: Air Force, Health Institutions, Environment, Anti-Corruption, and Aids, Loans and Debt. He is currently the Chairman at Ports, Harbors & Waterways Committee. His legislative interests include poverty alleviation, human capital development, and health economics.
