Pilot Finance Limited - (herein after referred to as the company), was incorporated in July, 1988 and obtained the CBN licence to operate as a Bureau De Change in July 1989. The Company also obtained the CBN Finance Company Licence in April, 1993. In 1998 the company was licenced by both the Securities & Exchange Commission and the Nigerian Stock Exchange as Broker/Dealer and dealing member respectively. The Company was restructured in 2004 with the Capital Market function ( Stock Broking) transferred to Pilot Securities Limited.

The company currently has an authorized share capital of One Billion ordinary shares of 50kobo each. The company is a major shareholder in Pilot Securities Limited a dealing member of the Nigerian Stock exchange with paid up capital of N775 million. The company through its subsidiary - Pilot Bureau De Change is also a major player in the foreign exchange market.
