The Bauchi State College of Agriculture was established via the laws enacted by the Bauchi State House of Assembly namely College of Agriculture Law 2012 which was accented to by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Malam (Dr.) Isa Yuguda; the Matawallen Bauchi on 13th June, 2013. Prior to its demerger from the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP), Bauchi, the institution was in existence since 1971 and was hitherto known as School of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry owned by the then Ministry of Agriculture of the defunct North Eastern State of Nigeria.

The Bauchi State College of Agriculture was established primarily with the main objective of offering certificates, National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) to students on graduation in various fields of Agriculture targeted at meeting the much needed middle level manpower of the State and beyond through proper training of its students. At present, the College has nine Academic Departments and each is headed by an Academic Head. The College is proud to say that all its courses are accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

In order to ensure a conducive learning environment for its students, the Management of the College has made students welfare one of its major priorities. This includes the provision of accommodation to all interested female students and a sizeable number of their male counterparts in the recently renovated student hostels as well as the repair of all broken down desks and chairs in the lecture venues.

It is the intension of the management that very soon it will partner with private individuals and organizations to construct new student hostels on Private Public Partnership (PPP). In order to ensure that its students are physically and mentally fit at all times, the College has the intension of providing the students with adequate sporting facilities and had stocked the Campus clinic with basic but essential drugs.

It is therefore our expectations that students will reciprocate the magnanimity of the Management by exhibiting high level of maturity, tolerance and discipline throughout their study period. You are also expected to develop a smooth and cordial relationship with your colleagues and lecturers. You should also respect the rules and regulations governing your stay in the College. You should equally face your studies with all serious your stay in the College. You should equally face your studies with all seriousness such that at the end of your study period you will acquire a certificate not only in learning, but in character as well.
