he Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja was the former General Hospital Lokoja, Built by the former Kabba Provincial Government in 1954 at the Headquarters of the Inland Waterways Authorized (IWA), Adnakolo, Lokoja.

In 1958, the Hospital was relocated from Adankolo to its present site in the G.R.A, which is about ½ km from the old site

Federal Medical Center provides the primary health care and tertiary health care to the people and federal health centers were established in nation wide in states. And they provides the treatment for Obstetrics, gynecology,internal medicine, pharmacy, dental, radiology physiotherapy, laboratory. And provides the better treatment and some services like ambulance, reliable consultant report and the other health services.
