Chima Akas Uche was born in the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State, NIgeria on May 3rd, 1994. He is a professional footballer who plays as a left back and regularly as a left winger for Swedish top flight outfit Kalmar FF and the Nigerian national team.

Akas grew up with his family in Ibadan South West Nigeria. After showing promising talents as a kid, he was enrolled in Active Football Academy Ibadan where he was groomed.
Akas, who wore the jersey of Enyimba in the 2016/2017, previously played for NPFL sides Shooting Stars (2010–2013) and Sharks (2014–2015). He went on trials at the Swedish club after his contract expired with Premier League giants, Enyimba. The Ibadan born left footer signed a three year contract which will keep him at the club till 2021.
Akas made his international debut for Nigeria in a friendly encounter against Cote d’Ivoire on January 11, 2015. He was part of the Super Eagles to the 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda. He also captained the NPFL All-star team that travelled to Spain on a tour in matches against La Liga’s sides, Malaga and Valencia in July 2016. In 2017, he represented Nigeria at the CHAN qualifiers and WAFU Cup.
