She has been rated as Nigeria’s foremost Female rapper, leading a fiercely successful Career in Hip-hop with no competition.

Eva Alordiah Early Life

Eva travelled around the country as a child, from Asaba to Minna Niger state and then finally settling with her family in Lagos. The Lagos bred rapper has four siblings of which she is the second girl. She grew up as a tomboy because of her brothers.

She started rapping at the age of 13 and decided to go professional at the age of 16. She recorded her first song at 20. After graduating from Secondary school in 2004, she decided to pursue a career in music/entertainment. Teddy Esosa introduced her to Zdon Paporella who helped her understand music business more. But with an admission into the University of Bowen to study Computer Science, she decided to put music on hold to bag a degree.

Eva took the time to study the music making process going in and out of studios and then finally settled to record a song with Tha Suspect of Capital Hill records in 2008. The song, titled “I dey Play” featured Tha Suspect and was inspired by M.I’s single, Safe. With a good follow up and excellent reviews from the critics, the song went on to receive radio play and created a much needed awareness for her brand. According to her, she chose to pursue a rap career because she is passionate about writing and putting rhymes together. She sees Rap as an Art form and with a strong belief in her own abilities she continues to impress pundits and critics alike with her effortless delivery.

She released her first ever studio recording with the help of Tha Suspect early 2009 and titled it ‘I dey Play’. A mix tape single with she collaborated on with Producer Tha Suspect early. Fans and Critics alike praised the song, which was recorded over Lil Wayne’s instrumental for the then top single “A Millie”. The song went on to become a fan favorite and received airplay on radios, gaining for Eva a maximum level of recognition.

Eva's career in music was borne out of a deepened love for the Hip Hop/Rap genre. After graduation late 2009, Eva decided to settle fully on her music, working with talented producers from Sossick to SarZ, Tintin, eLDee, MI, TK, and more. With an increasing desire from the fans, Eva released the single, Relentless, on April 1st 2010.

In August 2013, she signed a management deal with Radioactiiv. And in the same year, Nokia Nigeria enlisted her as one of the judges for its annual “Don’t Break Da Beat” competition. To promote her lead single titled “Deaf”, she organised a rap competition exclusively for girls. She has collaborated and shared stages with famous artists like Muna, Ice Prince, M.I, Gray Jon’z, eLDee, Sossick and Patrick Elis to name a few.

Eva was featured in the Lagos edition of BBC Radio 1xtra’s Live Lounge alongside M.I, 2face Idibia, Wizkid and Iyanya. On August 2014, she became an ambassador of Guinness Nigeria’s Made of Black campaign alongside Olamide and Phyno. A multi-talented female, Eva is also a Writer with several published works, A serial content creator on Youtube and runs her own Beauty Business in Nigeria.

Eva dated the Nigerian artist; Ice Prince when he first relocated to Lagos from Jos. It was reported that the relationship ended due to numerous arguments. In June 2016, she announced the end of her 15-month engagement to Caesar Ume-Ezeoke on Instagram. Their engagement began when Caesar proposed to her on stage while she was performing.

She currently has amassed an impressive social Following of over 1,000,000 Fans on social media and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Her Influence is one that encompasses a broad spectrum of people, as she inspires and touches the lives of followers worldwide with her powerful speeches and rap motivational videos.
