Idiat Abisola Sobande was born on February 12th in Sagamu, Ogun state, Nigeria. She is a Nigerian actress and features in Yoruba movies.

Idiat was born into a Muslim home and grew up in Lagos with her siblings - Neyo, Nickel, Niyi, and Rasheed. She had her secondary education at the Aladura Comprehensive High School, Anthony Village in Lagos.
Idiat joined the Nigerian movie industry in 1995. She specializes in Yoruba films and is known for popular movies such as Igbeyin ewuro (2009), Kondo olopa (2007) and Laroda ojo (2008). She also worked with the movie firm, Algafar Pictures.
In 2010, she featured in the blockbuster movie Aramotu, where she played a leading role. The movie which was set in 1909 narrates the story of a wealthy female trader in an extremely culture-conscious Yoruba community. The movie won her numerous accolades.
Idiat is a devote Muslim and she is married with two children.
In 2011, she was nominated by the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Aramotu.
