Otunba Segun Adewale (popularly known as Aeroland) was born on May 15th, 1966 in Ipoti-Ekiti in Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State, South Western Nigeria into the family Mr. & Mrs. Michael Adewale of Ile Aremo & Ile Ogegenijo quarters. He is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and grassroots politician.

Adewale was born to a respected police officer and disciplinarian who in turn inculcated discipline and moral values into his children. He had his Primary Education at the Seventh-day Adventist School, Abule Oja, Lagos between 1972 and 1978. In 1979, his parents decided that their first child must return to Ekiti so he could be groomed and well-grounded in the Ekiti norms, values and tradition; thus he was admitted into Ipoti High School same year. He eventually concluded his Secondary School education at the Oriwu College, Ikorodu, Lagos State, in 1983.
Adewale attended the University of Ibadan between 1986 and 1990 where he bagged a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography. He proceeded to obtain his Masters Degree Certificate in Public Administration at the Lagos State University in 1995. He equally obtained a Certificate in Airline Management and Operations in 2012 and got a requisite Certificate in Flight Operations from the Institute of Flight Operations and Dispatcher (IFOD), Texas, USA in 2013.
He possesses other professional qualifications in Management and Public Relations from reputable bodies which include Certificate in International Air Transport Association (IATA) from Montreal, Canada as well as a Diploma Certificate in Air Transport Business from Virgin Atlantic Airways (UK) 2009. He is also a OMP (Owners Management Program) graduate of the Lagos Business School / Pan- Atlantic University in 2016.
After graduating from the University of Ibadan and further obtaining a Master’s degree to boost his chances of securing an employment, Adewale registered Aeroland Travels and became his own boss when paid employment was not forthcoming. A business registered on soft loan twenty years ago is today a huge success. He is the Chairman/CEO of Aeroland Group of Companies.
dewale joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2007 and contested for a seat each in the House of Representatives in 2011 and the Senate in 2015 under the platform of the PDP. In 2015 despite that the his Senatorial election was manipulated by the ruling APC in Lagos State, Adewale won 7 out of the 10 Local Government, he delivered to the PDP five House of Representative and eight State House of Assembly seats in the Lagos West Senatorial District. He was the former chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State. Adewale is a grassroots politician love by his people both in Lagos and his home state Ekiti, he remains a force to be reckoned in the South Western Nigerian political calculation. In 2018, he contested and lost the governorship election of Ekiti State under the flag of the Action Democratic Party (ADP).
Adewale is happily married to Mrs. Victoria Adewale and they are blessed with two children, Oluwatosin and Oluwatobiloba Adewale. His wife, graduated from Ogun State University with a Second Class Upper degree in 2004. Tosin Adewale, his son graduated from John Washington University USA with First Class Honor’s in Electrical Electronics Engineering. Presently, Tosin is a Graduate Assistant at Princeton University, USA and also pursuing his post graduate degree in Computer Science. Tobiloba Adewale, his daughter is currently studying Law at the London School of Economics.
