Nnamdi Ezeigbo Biography / Profile

Nnamdi Ezeigbo was born on August 4th, 1966, in Delta State, Nigeria, to parents from Nsukwe, Ubakala in Umuahia South local government area of Abia State. He is the founder and CEO of SLOT Systems Limited, and also the brain behind TECNO and Infinix, the fastet selling phone brands in Nigeria.

Nnamdi Ezeigbo Early Life

Nnamdi had his basic education at Pamol Primary School, Sapele, Delta State. He attended Ogini Grammar School in Abraka, Delta State and earned his senior school certificate in 1984. He proceeded to Yaba College of Technology in 1988, where he studied Electrical Electronics Engineering, and got a Higher National Diploma (HND), he had his mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year at Guiness Nigeria PLC, in 1996.

Between 1996 and 2001, he studuied Computer and Electronics Engineering at the Lagos State University (LASU), graduating with a second class upper. From there he attended Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Ogbomosho, Oyo State where he obtained a master's degree in information and management technology. He further earned an MBA from the Lagos Business School.

Nnamdi Ezeigbo Career

After an impossible search for job, Nnamdi decided to become an apprentice by learning how to fix computers. Six months into his apprenticeship, he decided to move on from his employer because his boss was more into making money than building a solid customer relationship. He went on to squat with a friend at Ikeja in Lagos State where he was able to increase his customer base.

Years later, luck smiled on him when he came across an old customer from his days as an apprentice, the customer requested that Nnamdi move to a much bigger shop. To help him get started, the customer brought some printers for him to sell, from which he used the proceeds to get a bigger shop for himself. He paid 180,000 Naira for the new place and continued with selling computers. He eventually bought the place over for 100 million Naira and launched the SLOT business there in 1998. Presently, he has stores in major cities of the country including Lagos, Abuja, Aba, Umuahia, Owerri and Port Harcourt.

He has also established the Slot Foundation, which is a vocational skills acquisition centre that enables young people become entrepreneurs or skilled enough to work in other companies. In the past years, the foundation has created jobs for over 300 people.

Nnamdi Ezeigbo Personal Life

Nnamdi got married to his wife, Nkechi Ezeigbo, on December 27th, 1998. They are blessed with four children - three boys and a girl. He currently lives in Lagos. On Sunday March 18th, 2018, gunmen abducted Nnamdi's mother at her residence in Ubakala, Umuahia.
