Victoria Remi Nkong was born on October 22nd to parents from Calabar in Cross River State, Nigeria. She is an author, entrepreneur, the founder and CEO of Qtaby Events, and a philanthropist.

Victoria Nkong Early Life

Victoria attended Federal Government Girls' College, Calabar from where she earned her West African Senior School Certificate in 2003. She thereafter attended the University of Calabar where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Translation. She also obtained another degree in business communication at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. She also studied entrepreneurial management at the Lagos Business School and obtained an MBA in Leadership and Management at University of Cumbria in Carlisle, UK.

Victoria Nkong Career

After school, Victoria worked as a Human Resources/Corporate Affairs at Japaul Oil & Maritime PLC. Two months into the first job, she got a call from the prestigious KORA All Africa Music Awards. While at KORA from January 2006 to August 2010, she worked as a personal assistant to the KORA President. She also had other roles at KORA including a bilingual phone operator, talent manager and finally as a presenter.

She founded an event center called Qtaby Events. She has also successfully produced a number of world-class events like the Opening Ceremony of the International African Athletic Competition, Headies and several others. She has worked with notable music artistes like Akon, P-square, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, and Shaggy, and currently manages Toofan from Togo, Harrysong, and Orezi.

As a philanthropist, Nkong is on the board of trustee of Jegede Paul Foundation, she is the Administrator and mother to the children at Life Fountain Orphanage Home. She is also the brain behind the annual “Slum Invasion” outreach to slums and Share your closet for widows. On June 24th, 2018, she launched her first book, titled 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman'.
