Olatorera Majekodunmi Oniru was born on March 3rd, 1987 to Chief Dr. Femi Majekodunmi and Justice Olatokunbo Majekodunmi in Lagos, Lagos state, Nigeria. She is one of Nigeria’s most assiduous and ambitious young entrepreneurs. She is also the founder of Dressmeoutlet.com, a Lagos-based e-commerce startup that retails fashion products sourced from across the globe.

Oniru had her basic education at Mary Hill Primary School, Oyo state, and Queen's College, Lagos. She moved abroad in August 2002 where she attended Leesville High School in North Carolina, USA. In 2008, she graduated Cum Laude Honors with a degree in Business Administration/ Management and Entrepreneurship from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Olatorera also earned a scholarship-based Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the prestigious Emory University USA and Executive Management Certificates from Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden and International Institute for Management Development, Switzerland.
Before establishing her firms, Olatorera started her career in 2005 as a management Intern in Clayton, GA for Sodexho’s summer camp. She left to work as a Sales Associate for Payless Shoe Source, Greensboro North Carolina. She continued her career working for two Fortune Top 500 companies, namely Bank of America and General Electric. She joined the Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she worked for two years as a Senior Analyst for the Global Markets and Investment Banking Business Development Group.
As CEO of Dressmeoutlet.com, she is currently leading initiatives to realize a pinnacle in Africa’s history whereby we would rely less on importation and innovate more with natural resources and citizenry capabilities. Dressmeoutlet.com ships worldwide and currently has customers in different states across Nigeria, Uganda and the United States of America. The company now employs more than 20 full-time employees. She is successfully building Dressmeoutlet.com into a fashion e-commerce powerhouse and currently has funding offers from notable investors including Nigerian investor Tony Elumelu.
She is the organizer of "Cocktails and Dresses" a fashion industry event which serves as an innovative retail experience where new products are launched and high-quality, luxurious fashion and beauty brands, designers & manufacturers gather to showcase products and services to the African market. The event is geared towards increasing Africa’s Fashion Industry contribution to national GDPs and scaling the fashion industry even more.
Olatorera speaks publicly on topics related to leadership, entrepreneurship and technology driving Africa’s growth. Olatorera has been invited to speak at over 100 preeminent events including AfricaCom, NigeriaCom, World Retail Congress, TMT Finance, Seamless Africa, African Development Forum, Women in Business South Africa, Mobile West Africa and several other leading events. Her track record of success has been featured in Forbes, Huffington Post, CNN and several other leading publications.
Recently in 2018, she founded the Olatorera Consultancy Limited which provides business development and consulting services to established companies and high net-worth individuals with clients across the world.
Olatorera is married to Prince Adedapo Oniru of The Oniru Royal Family and together, they have two children. She lives in Lagos with her family.
