Hon. Hassan Saleh

Hon. Hassan Saleh Anthony was born on May 2nd, 1966 in Lagos State, Nigeria to Chief Ankwa Saleh and Mrs. Atuma Saleh of Otukpa in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State. He is a banker, businessman and politician. He currently represents Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Constituency in the Federal House of Representative

Hon. Hassan Saleh Early Life

Hon. Hassan spent some time in Lagos before moving to Kano State where he enrolled at Army Children School, Bukavu Barracks, Kano, Kano State for his primary education and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1977. He thereafter attended Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Otukpa in Benue State and passed out in 1984 with a West African Senior Certificate (WASC). He proceeded to Federal School of Arts and Sciences, Suleja, Niger State where he obtained a Higher School Certificate (HSC/Advance Level). He also attended the University of Jos, Plateau State and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor's degree in political science.

After graduating in 1990, Hon. Hassan proceeded for the mandatory one year National Youth Service programme with his primary assignment at Access Bank Plc., Lagos. As a young graduate, he got employed as an assistant supervisor/banking officer with Chartered Bank Plc. in 1992 where he worked for four years in the Banking sector until 1996. He thereafter joined a private firm, Brown Bags Limited as General Manager, where he worked for another five years (1996-2001). Within the five years, he was head of the Cameroonian Branch of the company for two years, from 1998 – 2000.  In 2002, Hon. Hassan founded his own firm, Tuareg Logistics Limited, where he served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for five years.

In 2011, Hon. Hassan was elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Constituency under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He was re-elected for another term in 2015. His legislative interests include communication, agriculture, housing, judiciary and marine transport.
