Hon. Mohammed Monguno

Hon. Mohammed Tahir Monguno was born on February 12th, 1967. He is an indigene of Jere Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria. He is an administrator, businessman and politician. He is a member of the Federal House of Representatives where he represents Jere Federal Constituency.

Hon. Mohammed attended Government Secondary School (GSS) Bama Borno State and obtained Senior School Certificate in 1993. He studied Public Administration at the University of Maiduguri and obtained a Bachelor's degree in 2002.

Prior to joining politics, Hon. Mohammed Tahir Monguno worked as Chief Executive Officer at Rais Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. He was also manager of sales and supply distribution at the Nigerian Breweries. He was a distributor at Guinness PLC, AZ and Amasco.

In 2007, he was elected a Federal Representative of Jere Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives. He was re-elected in 2011 and again in 2015. He is currently a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC). He has served in various House Committees such as appropriations, rules & business, and public petitions. He is currently the Chairman of the House Committee on agricultural production and service. His legislative interest is the development of urban poor and rural dwellers. In 2013, he obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maiduguri in Borno State.
