Hon Fatima Binta Bello was born on April 1st, 1971 in Igbuzo, Delta State, Nigeria to a military father from Shongom Local Government Area of Gombe State. She is an administrator, teacher, civil servant and politician. She currently represents Kaltungo/Shongom Constituency in the National Assembly.

Hon Bello attended Costain Primary School, Ondo State from 1978 and graduated in 1983 with a First School Leaving Certificate. Thereafter she enrolled at W.T.C Bajoga in 1983 and graduated with a Grade II Certificate in 1988. In 1993 she got in to the School of Management and Accounting Studies in Jos, Plateau State. She graduated in 1995 with a Diploma in Public Administration.
Hon. Bello began her career as a class teacher and administrative officer. In 2007 she was appointed Commissioner for Works in Gombe State and worked in that capacity until 2010 when she decided to run for the House of Representatives. In 2011 she was elected under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to represent Kaltungo/Shongum Federal Constituency at the National Assembly. From 2011 to 2015 she was a member of the following committees; Interior, Agricultural Production & Services, Parliament, Poverty Alleviation, Nigeria Delta Development Commission, and Commerce.
In 2015 she was re-elected for a second term in the House and currently serves as the Deputy Minority Whip. Her legislative interests include poverty eradication, rural development and local government autonomy.
