Abuja Municipal Area is in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria which is in the North-central geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the Utako district of Abuja city and the LGA consists of districts such as Lugbe, Nyanya, Giri, Karshi, Gausa, Deidei, Kugbo, Wasa, Apo, and Gurku. The estimated population of Abuja Municipal area is put at 469,441 inhabitants with the area hosting members of diverse ethnic affiliations. The Hausa and English languages are commonly spoken in the LGA while the religions of Christianity and Islam are practiced in the area. Notable landmarks in Abuja Municipal Area include the Karu Lorry Park and the Children’s Home, Karu. The Jiwa Emirate is also found within the Abuja Municipal Area.
