College of Agriculture, Lafia was established in 1977 with the aim to train extension workers and middle level manpower for the development of agriculture. In 1987, the school became a college of agriculture proclaimed by the then Plateau state government by virtue of edict No. 13 of 1987 to enable it offer courses leading to the national diploma and higher national diploma levels.
College of Agriculture, Lafia is a college of education in Nasarawa state that aims to equip students with the right knowledge so they can become leaders of tomorrow. The college offers national diploma and higher national diploma certificates at the completion of the course applied for.
