First mark Innovation School of Technology, Ado-Ekiti (FISTA) is one of the over 200 approved and accredited Innovation Enterprise Institutions (IEIs) in Nigeria. These Institutions are a product of the recent reform initiatives of the Federal Ministry of Education in the education sector.

Innovation Enterprise Institutions are established to:

• widen access to technical and professional education at post-secondary level as well as offer a credible and recognized alternative route to university education
• operate on a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model with Federal Government through Federal Ministry of Education and National Board for Technical Education (NBTE)
• empower the students economically through acquisition of employable and entrepreneurial skills.
