Faleye hails from Ogbomosho in Oyo State. He grew up in the popularly Ajegunle suburb in Lagos where he was discovered by former Nigerian international striker, Jonathan Akpoborie. He started playing for his school team and won the principal cup emerging as the highest goal scorer in Lagos State.
Faleye tarted his career as a teenager with Bright Future Football Academy. He soon went on trial in Denmark with top division side Nordsjaelland. Akpoborie took him to Cowbell Football Camp, bought him kits and gave him money to travel down for Shooting Stars' trial, In 2017, he joined Shooting Stars of Ibadan and later Akwa United in 2018 after Shooting got relegated. He made his international debut for Nigeria in 2018 at the Championship for African Nations (CHAN) in Morocco.
Faleye regards Jonathan Akpoborie as his role model.
